Meet Sherece
Hey there! Welcome to my site, Share With Sherece. Just to tell you a little about myself: I’m a Christian, Educator, Writer, Vegan, Traveler, Singer, Actress, Speaker, and lover of life. Some things I enjoy doing are reading a good nonfiction book, traveling, cooking my favorite vegan meals, going to the movies to watch a good comedy movie, or spending time with family and friends. I believe the experiences I’ve encountered in my life will serve as an encouragement to bring forth hope, healing, and restoration in the lives of others. So, allow me to introduce myself….
Background
I’m a former Corporate America girl who spent several years working in financial services before transitioning into the field of human services and subsequently education. A graduate of Lincoln University, obtaining an M.Ed in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education and is currently enrolled in graduate school working toward an M.Ed in Educational Leadership and will be graduating in May 2022. I served as an Adjunct Professor at a 2-year college facilitating Early Childhood Educational courses.
In addition to my experience in Education, I’ve worked in the field of Social Services as a Mobile Therapist and Behavioral Specialist Consultant for school-aged children, in which I worked with teachers, parents, and counselors in providing an adequate behavioral plan for assisting children with learning and social interactions in the home, school, and community. I consider it a privilege to work with children and families.
Family
Family is one of the most important blessings in life. I’m grateful for my parents Earl and Julia who taught me to love God, myself and to love and respect others. One of my favorite scriptures is “Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity”. Psalms 133:1
Work
One of the benefits of being a teacher is I have the opportunity to wear many hats in the classroom. Some of these hats include being a mentor, advocate, confidant, mediator, and counselor, just to name a few. I consider myself fortunate to be on the “front lines” serving our children in educating them and helping them grow to become all that God has created them to be.
In addition to my line of work as an educator, aunt to my niece and nephews, daughter to my parents and a sister to my siblings. In short, I’m a girl who loves life and enjoy encouraging others so that they can live their best life. It’s so nice to meet you and I thank you for taking the time to check me out on my blog. Enjoy!
